COY, PA
Coy, PA features typical Western Pennsylvania "coal patch" housing. The Coy coal mine and coal town were built in 1913 by the Brush Creek Coal Co.
This style of two-family, company-built housing that is still standing at Coy is known as the Pennsylvania Miner's house. The green house on the left appears to still have the same roof on it in 2003 that the coal company installed on it at least 50 years ago.
